good question. In order to get more capacity the bins got taller. To move the drive up and lengthen the elevator to provide the same function ,which was great, it would lower capacity, damage more grain and have a lower reliablilty due to increased length of chain, drives etc.

my flightings about 50% but the outer tube is shelled course the flighting is about 1_4 inch thick

I agree, it is a small price to pay for factory parts when something like this happens, Not to say that some people cant make parts as good or even better than the original. a person needs to know there limitations before creating a mess. How did the grain tank turn out, did you fabricate your own replacement panels or by the original onesIJ

how did you repair the grain binIJ did you use the new filler that they use on the 65-75's or did you make your own. you mentioned that you welded, if this is on the bin floor i have saw numerous ones that have been welded and eveyone has been warped so bad that it ate the auger up. if you want a good pre-made bin floor in the future you can e-mail me. we have been using them for years without trouble.

T, Our method of rehydration involves a mixture of barley, hops and yeast. All from these United States. Not only does it refresh and promote good health,(when consumed in moderation, and never when operating the GlEANER, and I mean never) it also invigorates our farm economy. So everybody's a winner. It's not the cost, it's the worth. We like to think of it as an investment. Joe

Jake, We made our own, having no knowledge of a pre made anywhere. In the future that will be the first place we go. Our first attempt at a repair was sad. It was almost as horrifying as the original. A little inspiration, a turn with the grinder, and we were off again. I see another post with an e-mail offer, I'll give it a try.

I think you must have been into the distilled grains before you started, as the aftermarket augers at a much better price work great!

Maybe Agco should build a bolt on poly insert in the tank.
