G'Day Peng OK the wheat this year is very dry! easy to thresh, and yes we have chopper but don't run the blades_knives up in to it to help with chopping (consumes power!) there seems to be a lot more MOG coming out of discharge than standard rotor may be a bit more compare to a sweeped rotorIJ sieve load must be a lot less as we can run our wind a lot lower than previously, running at about 6 as compare to 7 (maxed out) Now some some stats! ( lies ,dam lies and statistics) running 850 rotor revs, 9.1 meter front averaging about 10-11 kms_hr during the heat of the day 2.3- 2.5 tons_hectare (very happy camper on that ) 25 minutes to fill grain box to approximately 8.4 tons, thats around 20 ton_hr divided by 260 HP gives us a factor of 0.0775! so if I had a 350 Hp machine I should be able to do 27 ton_hr in same crop! give or take a bit due to heavier and_or bigger front! (Id still be doing somewhere near 9 km_hr with a 12 meter front with 350 HP!!!!) Sample is very,very nice in my opinion! I think its the best the old dear has ever run so far Rolf

Go rolf You doubled our dryland yield . Nice stats . You'd want some storage at 4_5 tons_Ha for the day I think now you need 12 metre draper. OR Have you seen the midwest drapers IJ They're made in Queensland. Chap at condobolin 2 hrs west of me runs 15 metre (50 feet ) draper on his gleaners (2 0f )I think. Rolf, Did you make any changes to the staggered bars on the thresher sideIJ I know that was being discussed. like you, we have nothing but good to say about the change to Bison..., but I'm pretty sure all of the enclosed rotors help to some degree. Perhaps, depending on the crop, one may have advantages over othersIJ

Yes love the way mid west drapers are built! (for the contracting type header drivers!!!!) Very nice, but! I think they would be worth more than our header and front combined! never seen one working around here, it's all Macdon or Honey bee. Makes sense to go wider and slow down, I'd far prefer to go to a 12+ meter front and 2 km_hr speed, In a 5 ton crop of course Cut better, feed better and easier on transmissions and drive lines! and more efficient. Anyway off to hopefully finish off the wheat today and set setup for the last of the lentils (had to much green crap in it, bunging up the knife and front! got sprayed last Tuesday) Rolf

Shes stock standard Irv, haven't got in to it with the cut off wheel or tin of paint yet Just need a bit of fine tuning for our conditions and I think it will be a very good all crop system. Funny that, were about the only ones around here that have a alternative rotor in our machine, but there are a few CDF's getting round now! sounds like they will do the job for most guys, Bison will like Tbran has said "Hot Rod" your machine.
