Another Aussy here! Victorian Wimmera region, 9 inches from Melbourne Cup day [ Nov 04] to start of Feb, nothing since. moisture down too far to sow into, but if we get a good break we'll be O.K. We are told the 'average' Autumn break is mid May, so no panic here yet! Just a run of 8 below average seasons including a complete wipe out in 2002, so the grain growing farmers are looking for a "good one" . I have relatives in Chinchilla area - any where near you BundyIJ

Chinchilla is a bit over 2 hrs east of us. Hate to say it but your not robinson Cruso when it comes to a long run of crap years. last decent years for us was 2000!! Since then: 2001 - 4 bags 2002 - didn't plant 2003 - 6 bags 2004 - 7 - 8 bags 2005 - ....yeah next question Way the fuel prices are looking now it might be a blessing yet
