Combines Auto header raising and lowering speed

Raise and lower rate controls should work in both manual as well as AHHC. Have you tried setting up the sensitivity as well. Has your header been converted over to the linkage instead of cableIJ Make sure the header is adjusted properly to include knife weight (spring adjustment),feeler pads all contacting the runners; tube free to rotate; as this will have more affect on the header response than anything else.

Thanks for the response. The rate control works in AHHC but only controls the rate of header drop and raising when you are manually dropping it at the headlands to turn around. But the speed that it responds to ground movement as when going over a terrace is slow even when you speed up the rate all the way it makes no difference except when you pick it up at the end of the field. We have adjusted the sensitivity even to the point that the header continually hunts back and forth but that doesn't change the rate of header drop or raising only starts it to doing it quicker. We have the linkage you spoke of instead of the cable, the pads all contact the runners and the tube rotates freely. The AHHC works well enough except when going over terraces head on you must sometimes stop and wait for it to drop on the back side. _ Thanks again Greg

When going over the terrace press the down button and you will over ride the automatic. When the head gets down, let the button back up and the automatic will again take over.

Another idea to try is this. Turn the header dial CCW as you go over the terrace. This will make the header go down sooner. I have done this many of times. You have to return the dial back to your setting in about 3-5 seconds else the header will drag. Try this on level ground first to get know what happens in advance. JACK.
