I just went to a CR_CX combine clinic last week, and was told that you have to calibrate the header that you are using each time you attach it. This applies to the 03 and older units. Even though there is a header selection process in the InfoView, you still have to go through the calibration process so the combine knows the weight of the header. This could be some of your problem. I am not sure if there is a setting that controls the rate of drop, but would expect that there is. I will see if I can find out.
