We have tried the sensitivity settings on both most sensitive and least sensitive. Neither seems to make a difference. It seems they need to have a valve to slow the flow and pressure down, once the header is lowered, like they did on the unloading augers folding back into the cradle.
Maybe the sensitivity control isn't working properly. Not sure how to check it but maybe agco service(620-327-5738) could help. I always run accumulator wide open with corn head. If the cornhead uses the same potentiometer as the 8000 series head it could be the potentiometer is defective.
JJ Make sure your voltage is set near 4. when your hangers are down all the way. I set mine to go down slightly slower then up for safety sake! Just crack your accumulator (not much) so it will not over react. Remember that in corn fields that potentiometer arm is moving up and down much more (over lumps etc.) then on your flex head so if it is set up and down too fast there will be an over reaction. I usually have my chain on the arm set so that I have my snouts at the desired height when the height level is set near at max. This was what worked for me with my CaseIh as well as my Gleaner. later Dave
