Talked to mechanic today and he has a new valve on the way (backordered). CaseIH hi up tech guy said CaseIH was having problems with the valves not performing correctly, so I hope this will fix it. Thanks again everyone, Ted CenOH

Problem is the main control spool in the reel drive valve. When we changed to the new spool to minimize the speed surge problems this problem appeared. The tail of this valve is about 060 longer than the old one if memory serves and will not let the valve open as far, thus limiting flow and max reel speed. One of the other "fixes" for the surge problem was to shim the pressure compensating flow control spool as some thought that the valve was hunting causing the surge. Problem does not affect all machines and unable to predict which machines will be affected. Itis definately a hyddraulic problem not electrical.
