Combines AWS Air Reel

I have seen both systems work. They both work well. The only thing to remember is on both the CWS and AWS in some conditions you may have troubles pulling the beans through the drop tubes. With the Crary Finger Air Reel you don't have that problem because the tubes are inside the reel. I also priced systems each way and the CWS and AWS are only cheaper if putting on an old head. If it is installed on a new head you are better ordering new one less reel. After running both I would say they both work but the Finger Air Reel is the cadillac.

What everyone needs to remember is, Crary first manufactured the air manifold system and gave that up for a better product and that is the Finger Combination Reel. Only now are they starting to manufacture the manifold again for it broadens their product offering and the realization that farmers are keeping their platforms longer and when wanting some air on their header this is a cheeper alternative. Some air is better than none when harvesting beans. I have run a Finger Air Reel for the last seven or so years and have not yet replaced a gearbox.
