Combines Axceller kit

I just installed one in my 1688 and have only cut wheat. It does seem to be more aggressive and feed more evenly. I can't wait to take it to the bean field this fall! The Axceller is built extremely heavy and fit on the rotor like a glove. From the posts I've read, the only bad thing is it will be easier to plug the rotor since you will no longer hear the loud slugs going through. Also one might tend to over-rate the Accellor since your probably comparing it to the worn out elephant ears you just replaced. I will probably give the fuel pump a little tweak also. Wolffman

The kit works great. I discussed it at length several times last fall if you look back at the old messages. It seems to do very much the same thing as the AFX rotor from CaseIH. Much quieter operation, no rumble, rpms stay more constant, more capacity. We've cut rice, soybeans, and wheat with it. Works exceptionally well in green-stemmed soybeans, and lodged wheat and rice. There are no warning rumbles that you are overloading the rotor, so you must learn to watch and listen to engine rpms more closely. But the payoff is more capacity. If you're replacing the vanes in the cone, go with the thicker extended wear vanes. Good luck!
