Combines axial flow combines

Make sure that you buy one that does not need all the work done to it. Take off the side panles and look at the concaves and the rotor and make sure that they are not all banged up from rocks. Then look up through the back of the combine and look at the shoe to make sure all the fingers are not all bend up. If you buy a good case ih combine they well last longer then a deere. What kind are you looking for 1460 ,1660 IJIJIJIJ

Most people seem to think that the rotary designs are less costly in the later stages of life (say 3000-5000 hours) because there's no straw walker. Also, the major components (engine, transmission, drives, etc.) on the CIH machines seem to be pretty tough and able to last the machine out. As for year-to-year maintenance on wear items, I doubt there's a lot of difference between any of the different brands.

axial flow combines are good machines we are running 4 2388 and 2 2188 plus a cts Case have only got one problem in my books the machines are made to light in construction.. we have a lot of trouble with sidewalls cracking in behind the pitman arms ..chains are light, we are also everlasting replaceing panels which come into contact with the grain..case have a good machine there just want to listen to the people who run them and take the ideas on board the cts we have run for 2 years and replaced two bearing and a belt the machines run side by side in the field with little between them
