In the mid 1980s we installed tire tread on a rotor for pinto beans. We were able to avoid cracking and splits, but throughput of material was severely limited, and the lifetime of the rubber was very limited. We have since developed a rotor configuration which has been used in harvesting of radish seed, onion seed, lettuce seed, edible legume seed, popcorn, food grade corn (maize)and food grade sorghum, as well as most other crops grown in the USA. Virtually no damage to seed, much less trash to separate and close to 100% germnation. Throughput of material greratly increased, as well. Patent has just been approved. Please email for information.
