Combines Bad MH header piviot belts

Hello, I'm not sure of the part number we are using, but on the '81 Gleaner N6 I'm driving, the pivot belt (if I'm thinking correctly, it's the one that runs from the header drive variable speed pulley back to the main clutch shaft) shed one of the belts. It stripped right off the backing, but the other belt was fine. It was new. We got it replaced and I've made sure that all the tensioners on the machine run straight now. Some were way out of line. Worth a look on your machine.

Might try Mayer Farm Equip. in Ohio, I know they have a lot of "Allis Gleaner" parts and they just may have some original belts. Phone 740-426-6307 and talk to Peg, tell her exactly what you are looking for.

How's the condition of the pulley on the headerIJ My neighbor has a GH and it started doing this, we checked out the pulleys and found they were too worn down. Too much slop and the belt had a basin to roll over in.
