If he didn't, I would sure be tempted. That combine is only 60 miles from my farm.

What could you possibly do with a 6600. you already have a machine half that size and you can't even get it up and running! Not that i'm criticizing you but its been way over a year.

Not correct. I first looked at it on Oct 31, 1999. I wrote a check on November 6 or 7th. Business has been very slow this year so other than getting the gas tank boiled and sealed, and replacing two hydraulic hoses, all projects are on hold. I should have some play money next year.

Thanks for the support. It looks like I will have to move the 4400 to my Indy front yard in a week or two. The lot where the combine is located is slowly being cleaned up. I saw an IH combine go down the street, where the 4400 is located, to run beans in an 8 acre field. Indy drivers were actually COURTEOUS AND PATIENT to the fellow. What is left of his farm is next to Eagle Creek Reservoir on Indy's westside.

Yeah, a bad week. Heres what you do, eat less, wear cheap clothes, buy regular gas,cut your own hair, get a paper route. Get my point. Not many people really care about restoring old combines. I am not one of those people. I would rather have a 4290 MM or a 105 JD combine than a whole barn full of 2 popper JDs. It all goes back to my having to be different than everybody else. Sorry Red for being short but its been a long hard week for me.

I never took offense to it Riceman. I have had a bad YEAR at work. My 4400 needs TlC and I haven't been able to provide for it. :(

Its good to be back on speaking terms with you again. I think yesterday was just a culmination of all the weeks worth of stuff and I just let go.
