I doubt this is the answer to your problem. It isnt what happens intermittently to my 9650 STS. But for what its worth .. from the Service and Tips section on Deeres website............... "Battery loses Charge 95 Amp Alternator Harness Symptoms 1. The combine does not start 2. The battery is dead 3. The battery goes dead shortly after charging. Situation or Problem The diode in the harness between the alternator and the engine relay panel has been installed backward in the harness. Solution Steps Inspect the harness for the date code of manufacture. This short harness has a ring terminal on one end to connect to the alternator, and a square connector on the other end to fasten into the engine harness. If the harness has a date code between 04-Sep-02 and 12-Nov-02, contact your local dealer to help resolve the problem. Parts: AH201500 - Wiring Harness Affected Equipment Model: 50 Series Combines Serial Number(s): (700101 - 701500)

as they keep adding controllers to these combines the drain on the batteries increases when they are not in use. At the factory the batteries are probably filled and not charged, then they are started about thirty times between the factory and in the delivery process to the customer. I think when you start using the combine regularly, or fully charge the batteries the problem will go away. If in prolonged storage it is a good idea to start the combine maybe once a month and let it charge for awhile or unhook the ground cable will also help.

Hi, I installed a Ground Disconnect Switch on my 9750. No more dead batteries and should eliminate electrical fires. Should be standard equipment.
