If you tranny is a belt drive sounds like the bolts may be loose and letting the tranny move.Check the belt tension and be sure and loosen the linkage rod under the cab when you retension.

If the adjustments don't solve the problem, and everything is tight. Sounds like you might need transmission work. these combines had a somewhat weak transmission. It could be a gear going bad,If I remember right, it was the 1st_reverse gear that was a problem with these transmissions. Another problem could be a cracked transmission housing, also not an uncommon problem.either way will require the removal of the transmission. Good luck. As for the beans in the fan, not sure on that one.I had corn in the fan once on my 860. Only happened once, never again. didn't figre out what caused it either. Joe

I have had the same problem with my 860, I put in a new clean grain auger and it solved the problem for me.

We used to have that problem in dry peas on the old IH when the grain elevator would plug. Sounds like it could be the auger or elevator not taking the beans away fast enough.

When I had beans in my fan housing, I took my clean grain auger to the local auger flight manufacturer, but he said that the augers are rarely the problem unless the flighting is bent backwards. So I carefully bent the flighting so it all angled slightly forward, as when you are using a shovel. It made no difference - I still had beans in my fan. Taking up the slack in the clean grain elevator chain helped a bit. When I replaced the paddles in the clean grain elevator, my problem was gone.
