Combines beans leaking from fan

Zach, I don't know if this will help but I had the same thing happen last fall on a 1688. It was a result of switching over to flotation tires on front, tires which where shorter than previous duals. Therefore the combine slanted down in front causing beans to fall back into fan housing finding their way to the ground. I finally lowered the rear end. Don't have any experience with the air deflector's.

There is a dam which you can put on the front of your chaffer that will keep the crop from sliding of the front of your sieve. Check 2388 parts. Also if you have the three section sieve close the front section up on the sieve 1_2 to 1_3 less than the middle. trouble shooting corn in fan 2188 owners manual. Also if you don't have the two speed sprocket for the elevator 2188 get one and if you are in high volume consider getting the cone shaped funnel that goes over the clean grain auger 2388 twelve row ready.

Zach, it sounds like the air deflectors are not positioned proper. The deflectors are pointed to direct the air to the back of your sieves which allows the crop to drop off the preparation pan at the front of the sieves and get into your fan. The air deflectors need to be pointed to the front of the sieves as to lift the crop and trash and carry it back farther. Also in results you may have more trash in the grain tank from it not being positioned proper. You may have to increase the fan speed and open the from of the sieves a little more.
