Just remember that these settings are under my conditions in West TN and your experience may vary, or some other legal jumbo. On our 9610 the concave is set on 8 and my cylinder speed is 450rpm. My concave setting is off of the electronic readout in the cab. Your indicator may be outside and the two readings do not correspond. If your's is the outside indicator, I would say try closing your concave up a good bit. I cut a lot of soybeans with it set on 2 on our previous 9500. I talked to someone else Friday and they have a 9610 with the outside indicator and they are running about 2 1_4 on theirs. I was having the same problem as you last week. I closed my concave up really tight and sped up my cylinder. Made a world of difference. I guess I temporarily forgot how to set the combine from last year. Hope some of this helps. I'll be glad to try and help more if I can. BH

ClOSE UP THE CONCAVE! You probably have beans riding up through with the straw. We usually run ours on 2 or 3 with the outside indicator.
