Hey, I guess they didn't add any more horsepower. Dealer said that the motor was at its max horsepower. All that they did to our 9790 was add torque on the bottom and top ends. We need more cleaning area though. I was pushing a 25 ft. head in 130 bushel at 6 mph but it was throwing some over the back so I had to slow it down. Dad wishes that we would have got a 30 ft. head. i have seen 3 diffrent Rotor Combines from MF in Germany all arround 500 horse. one singlerotor-one was like the CTS and lexion and the other one was with a Threschingdrum in the front and a single Seperation Rotor. if they come out with a new Machine it needs to be in a size to get it in europe on the road and beat up the new lexion 600 and the sts with 570horse.

It sounds like many new technologys are being designed into the next generation AGCO class 8 combines. There WIll be a Gleaner as well as Massey and Challenger versions. The Gleaner combine is currently AGCO's best selling combine. It is not going away! It would be a management catastrophe to eliminate their best selling machine. The new Class 8 will not simply be a repainted Massey, however it will have a longitudinal rotor, there are a number of new technologys being developed along with the best features from Gleaner and Massey that will make all of the AGCO lines VERY competitive. I also understand that Deere is ready to release their '70 series combines already. Do they have design issues that are being covered with these rapid new model updatesIJ

Glad to hear Gleaner will have a new combine out. JD from what I hear won't be adding any more cleaning area. They say it will require a new disign to the frame. Ohwell they'll still sell lots based on the name and colour. Take care, Nathan
