Are all your shields in placeIJI had the same problem until I realized trash and cobs were being thrown into the pulleys from the rear spinners.I installed the shields and the problem was solved.Good luck

I had the same problem and more so whan I had a Vittetoe chaff Spreader. Cobs were getting in the idler and throwing off the belt. I fashioned a piece of thick plastic to fit the curve of the idler and then made a bracket to mount it just in front of the idler so it will not allow cobs to get in the idler. Have not had a belt thrown of since.

Thanks everybody, sounds like more than me have had this problem. We took all the advice, put a shield around the idiler pully and bolted the "mudflap" type material that deflects the residue, to the side of the combine so cobs couldn't sneek through there. There were already a couple holes in the side of the back of the combine. Didn't have anymore trouble but we were almost done with corn and went to milo, so that cured the problem. Thanks, Greg C.
