Changed to SCH several years ago and am very happy. Ran first sections too long but alternated orientation when replaced so new section is on unused side of guard. Guards have 1000 acres on them and is doing great job. We can run 3.5 to 3.7 and do good job but I ddont like to go that fast as I have fought auto header adj. all year. Hate elec. problems. Good luck

I prefer the Tiger Jaw 1.5" knife with spring steel hold downs. Most don't like the 1.5" because of having to adjust them all the time with shims but the spring steel hold downs can just be tightened with a wrench when needed and work great. The problem I have with the 3" knife is that the pointed guards stick out front and act as a stone rake and lift stones up into the header. So if you have any stones I would stay away from the 3".

I am thinking of changing to the Crary gold cut system. Any one have oneIJIJIJ This would be for a 20 foot head on an R50.

I put the crary system on last year and thought it worked great. At 4 MPH cut is very good. Could go faster but we have rocks and my eyes are not that fast. When I did change I found out the reason the 1 1_2" cut was not working was it was shot. It probally should have been changed a year or two sooner.

We just switched from the AGCO Kwik Cut 1 1_2" sections to the Crary Golden Cut 3". We really liked it, easy to adjust. Our Kwik cut was shot, so it was not a side by side, but we cut beans at 4-5 mph. We have a 530 and Crary air reel.

I FOR ONE WIIl GIVE YOU A THUMBS UP FOR THE SCH CUTTER. THIS IS MY SECOND HEAD THAT I SWITCHED TO SCH. HAD TIGER JAWS BEFORE ON BOTH HEADS. WORKED GREAT ON BOTH. BUT ON MY 318 HEAD WHICH IS ON A R 52 CHANGED THE DRIVE PUllEY TO THE WOBBlE BOX. THEIR WERE THREE OPTIONS AND WITH TIGER JAWS THE SlOWEST ONE WAS ON IT 7.5 " CHANGED TO 9.5 " WAS CUTTING AT 4.5 TO 5 MPH NO PROBlEMS AT All AND NO STRAGGlERS AT All. AlSO GREAT DESIGN FOR PICKING UP DOWN BEANS
