Combines Best replacement rotor for 9500 chopperIJ

I put a Redekop in my 9650W last fall with the carbide treated hammers. I was very happy with the chop. Our wheat was all lodged so we had to put a high volume of straw thru. This spring I was pleasantly surprised to be able to seed into all of that material with my Seedhawk with only occasional plugging as compared to the OEM chopper which I could not get thru. It also chops small rocks and crop lifters without losing signfigant balance.

bought one with carbide hammers, too. Going to put it in this week. Thinking about getting some spare hammers, as well since noone sells these things. I had to order it from the factory in canada. Thanks..gs

No floor upgrade, carbide hammers, speed increase shieves and new double belt, add freight from canuck and some cussed other strange charge going across national border came to just over 3g. Really smooth and don't walk behind it now. check with deere, you can install the fine cut rotor from them for about the same money. It is made very similar to the redekop. gs

Ordered the Redekop rotor with carbide hammers and floor upgrade from our local implement dealer...$3225 US total cost. Included in the rotor kit was dual belt drive and shrouds that cover the fan blades. The floor upgrade included heavy duty floor and a knifeset for extra fine cutting and adjustable extension plate to direct chopped straw to the back of the fins. Finished the install this morning and will get to try it out when wheat harvest starts in about 4 or 5 days.
