I have found the CAT settings to be too restrictive for good quality grain and grain savings in the conditions that my 465 is running in. (60-80 bu_ac) The cat setting for cylinder speed is 900 and I am running at 780 to 830rpm's depending upon the time of day. The concave is set at 13mm instead of the 10mm Cat setting. I had too much sieve loss so I increased fan speed about 50 rpm, left the top sieve at 13mm and opened-up the bottom sieve to 13mm. This dramatically improved the quality of grain by not running so many returns, and allowed more air to move thru the bottom sieve to lift the chaff off the the top sieve. less chaff, more room for grain. Remember that your conditions will be different and you need to adjust accordinly.
