Combines beyond the TR s to the CR s

The technology you mention above is really nothing new. Cat, along with Claas, through Cat lexion combine revolutionized the combine industry by first bringing such technology to the market place, years before the competition. Competitors adding such technology is simply a testiment to the lexion's success. BTW, I was running a 470R demo machine over the weekend, in 210+ bu corn (15% avg.) at speeds consistently in excess of 5.5mph. What's more, we were avg. well over 3800bu_hr. with zero machine loss and -1% damage and FM...top that.

You are right about the technology. The lexion is truly a "Cadillac". Their in cab functions are second to none. The support connection via cell phone or what ever is a good link to keep things going. I have been around them quite a bit on the harvest run. Most of the time malfunctions require a service truck which they try to have available. The NH can be mechanically repaired and or serviced by the owners. The electrnics is another story. Both require specific specialized test equipment. It's a sign of the times. NH engineers wanted to use fiber optics, but the EU guys said no couldn't be serviced easily.Out west we see the shields up on the lexion about as much as the JD's. I think NH is above those frequent breakdowns. Software glitches are however unpredictable especially at first. 3800 b_h is over 18 acres p_h, which is about 41_2 semi loads, which is in turn5-7 grain cart loads,which means the unloading auger is running most of the time. I think thats a lot of corn to get up the clen grain elevator.

I was running , I mean I own a R75 with a 13 row head running 5.6 mph in 220 bu corn Whats more we were avg. 3900 bu per hr. with minus zero loss and corn is 5.00 per bushel and that was my worst corn on our worst day .
