Well, nobody actually ever "won." This was not a contest, but just a test to record each combine's good_bad points. It looks like overall, the Gleaner, yes, that old 1972 l, did as good as any. I think it had a few more high scores in some areas than the Massey 760,IH 915 and Oliver 7800, although by no means was any combine given any overall poor rating. All of them did pretty darn well, which proves my long-standing point that with the exception of actual lemons which occur in every line, there are no bad combines being built.
