9880, let me tell you a true story about your JD 7000 series choppers. An agri contractor neighbour of ours bought a new 7400 4wd chopper this season,it started chopping grass in May. So far it has run up a bill of 19000!!! (US$31000'euro 26000)in warranty claims and its owner is "climbing the walls" One time he had 500 acres of grass mowed down for three customers, the pick-up gearbox went out and JD had to order one from Germany,in order to keep him chopping the JD dealer brought a demo 7500 up from Southern Ireland,it lasted half a day as it proceeded to blow a turbo!!(same thing happened to my 02 9650sts) I have been told that JD have told him they will change his chopper to another free of charge because of the many problems. As for our Claas 900, it is in its third season and "hasn't missed a beat" after chopping approx 13000 acres of grass, wholecrop wheat and maize so far. Today, we lifted 200 acres of good crop second cut grass in 12 hours,it took two Claas 880 grass rakes rowing 40f into one,4 tractors and 16ton silage trailers and two JCB (412s+414s) payloaders on the clamp to keep the Jaguar 900 going strong. She is a terrific machine and we are waiting eagerly for the "rumoured" new model Claas choppers as it will be traded next year without a doubt to another Claas.

hey big truck claas guys allways make from a mouse a elefant. thats my experince with these guys so i dont think about your comment to much . i know the new choppers allready to good. thats all what i have to say. if i dont like a machine and do not like to drive em i could get it broke. doesent matter what brand. all brands have sometimes machines with trouble but claas just unterstands it to keep it quiet. i have seen the new claas choppers and there is no big change going on only facelifting like a old women. regards 9880
