U Joint at bottom of auger is threaded at each end.Simply lock U joint with lever to stop from turning then auger should unscrew with pipe wrench.Remove top bearing and auger will simply screw out.When replacing be sure you locktight thread as have seen them come loose and destroy thread with vibration.
