Combines Bison in Spring Wheat

You shouldn't have any worries. Only a couple of guys figured they were getting whitecaps because of Bison. After checking samples from other non-AGCO machines in same area and crop they found their Gleaners were doing twice as good. This was in some very extreme hard to knock out wheat. As I mentioned in earlier rotor evolution posts I would not say the old Gleaner eight bar wouldn't do better especially with the narrow rasp bars over concave. I wish one of the guys having trouble would of been able to compare to some other rotor in a Gleaner but just didn't happen. We'll have to see if we get that comparison this year. Notsodumfarmer will be running a sweeped Sunnybrook gen two this year so we will get them results. I believe notsodumfarmer was getting .5% dockage at times but might of been able to add a filler bar or two more to help that out. I also have a couple tricks I'm contemplating. I have checked with a couple more custom harvesters about dirty samples and they said the only time they had trouble is when a sledge hammer would not dislodge all the seeds.

Not at all. I'm just saying I hope this guy will be able to give us the results of Bison against sweeped Sunny gen two in his seed wheat this season as machines run in same field together. like I told the guy if he wants more seperation at concave with sweeped Sunny he could think about a couple reverse bars over concave. He will be flowing straw much better on seperator side so he may have some HP to play with. I don't believe Sunny has narrow rasp bars for gen two but that is what Gleaner recommends for there rotors in the hardest to thresh wheat. We are looking at a possible attachment for Bison should a guy find them conditions he needs to thresh better. Anyway time will tell.
