That happned to the crew I worked for couple years back doing some wheat in Wall, SD that had been hailed on and had rust in it as well. If you couldn't see the combines running because of a hill, house, etc, it looked like smoke from a fire rising into the air. They weren't totally back when we finished but pretty dark though, almost looked like they had been air brusjed with black paint over the red. I thought our machines actually looked kinda neat that way.

Dakota, We've started five different circles, but haven't finshed any of them yet because we always run into wet corn, but it looks like the yield will be from 175 to 215. What's it yielding where your atIJ

I worked for Duane Keller with Keller Bros Harvesting and Trucking out of Ellis, KS. Did that in 2000, came back in 2002, and then went to help them for a week when they were on Colby, KS, this summer, around July 4th. Crown(s)IJ was the name of the brothers we cut for, but I guess they sold their farm and retired between 2001 and 2002, small town up there but pretty interesting, didn't care to have to watch out for all the tourists but they always waved and some took pictures, one guy wanted to buy a jar of wheat. Too bad we didn't have any jars, we could have made some money off him!

Same here too. We picked 700 acres with an R62 before the rain and it just looked a little dusty. After the rain we finished 200 acres and it was completly black. It washes off fairly easy but now the millo is doing the same thing.
