If it is black it may be smut or common bunt as the wheat breeders call it. I have heard the dust can be explosive, but I don't know that. Some varieties are worst than others and I think there are some seed treatments for it too.

thanks for the replies, we ourselves are not having the problem but we are harvesting 170 acres for someone and finished up with it today, some was worse than others so it more than likely was the rust problem, thanks for the info. how is everyone's harvest goinIJIJ
