I NEVER HAD ANY COMPlAINTS ABOUT MY BlACK HEAD BUT I SURE DO lIKE MY HUGGER EASIER TO WORK ON AND EASIER TO STORE AND TRANSPORT WITH THE POlY FOlD UP SNOUTS.BUT I THINK YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM COMPAIRED TO OTHER COlORS KURT

Ran a black 8 row for three years had good luck with it. Sold my black to guy that wanted it. Bought a 1994 8 row hugger and would never go back to black ones. Work some much better and quiter running, easier to work on and ajust, but cost more. GOOD lUCK!

I've had both and I definately like the hugger. less maintenance and better durability are a couple of things that come to mind. Also, in lodged corn a hugger is better than anything on the market.
