Pre-judging anyone is wrong. I had a very good friend and farmer on the best farm in the county who followed governmental lending policies to the 'T' . One bad year and they foreclosed on him because he was in equity. Others who were in a negative net worth situation were extended and forgiven debts and are still farming - hand to mouth perilous. Morale of the story is 'those who can't do - teach' read - those who get govt' jobs will do what ever to cover their decisions. This guy was a victim of discrimination and was W.A.S.P. to the core. All it takes to be proven innocent or guilty is unfortunately due to the persistance of the sueing party, the politics of the judge, skill of the lawyers and the makeup of the jury - i.e. OJ.......... I think the same as you deereman.What you look like on the outside doesn't have a thing to do with what kind of person you are.What happened was wrong morally and legally.Johny Cochran isn't interested in your cause.Jesse Jackson couldn't care less.Predjudice is practiced by all colors.Hope your family gets their day in court and gets appropriate award.This is an election year.Can't you find some politician who thinks this would be a feather in his cap to pursueIJ

Whether one believes or not there was a policy to displace "Black Farmer". That has been admitted and proven. The policy will shift in the future it will be the smaller and seemingly inefficient farmer. If you do not believe that then look at equipment that is offered to farmers. How many small to medium size farmers can afford to upgrade, especially in the harvesting arena, with new equipmentIJ Additionally look at the number of major corporations that qualify as "family farming operations" and how they get around payment limitations. I am not looking for controversy, I am just stating the facts.
