Eric, You need to remove the grass knife from the side that has the broken bolt,then you will be able to see a nut that is welded on the inside of the row unit for the stripper plate adjustment bolts.Clean all the crud from the area around this welded nut.Remove the nut with a torch and grind area smooth.Install a new 1_2"x2 3_4" full thread bolt(can use 3" full thread)and new 1_2" nut and weld nut in place.Normally if gathering chains are oiled regularly these bolt threads stay lubricated.Have removed individual bolts and cleaned them and put never-seez on them to help prevent future problems.
