Ed, I ran an Ag-leader before getting the AFS. A-l seems to be a much better unit. Once we got the A-l calibrated it always stayed pretty close. With the AFS you never know what it's going to do. We have harvest 10,000 bu and been off less than 50bu then move to another field and harvest 5,000bu and be off 500 or more, even in same hybrids. As for the missing load and acres, the CIH service manager said the AFS rep e-mailed him what the problem was but I would have to come in for him to explain it to me. CIH is now using Ag-leaders software programs. If we don't trade combines for next year I think I will look into upgrading. The Ag-leader dealer says he can sell me the program at a lot less than what CIH wants and I would have direct contact with Ag-leader for troubleshooting. CIH's AFS rep for this area does what they can but is not fully trained in it and has to contact others to get the answer. Seems as if a lot of the people in AFS has left the company. This is the 4th year we have had the AFS and never have gotten it to work the way we want. It has had things go wrong that CIH says is impossible - once when recalibrating beans it changed all the corn loads as wellIJIJIJIJIJ. Also have lost info on the datya card. IMO the system is not very user-friendly boog
