Steve, The spring was replaced this morning. Evidently the old spring had lost some of it's strength as when it was set next to the new one the old spring was aprrox. 3_4" shorter. The pins and bushings showed no signs of wear. We cut about 75 acres since replacing the spring, all on the high side of the gear box, and had no problems whatsoever. boog
