leave the wood blocks in there. All the other fixes are not as long-lived. Use the Deere inspection program, it is very thorough and will show anything you need to repair. I do it every year and almost always have a complete harvest w_o any failures at all. A few things you can do is put a poy liner in the feeder house, weld a 1_4" rod aroud the circumference of the exposed part of any auger screw if you are replacing it and you may not have to replace it for a lonnnnnng time.

We just bought an 89 9400 with about the same hours, a 220 platform in decent condition, and a worn out 6 row corn head for $34,000 in Calhoun county, Iowa. Today I saw a mid 90's 9600 with 850 sep hours go on an auction for $51,250.
