What brakesIJ Haven't seen a 1400 series with decent brakes. Are they not working at all, or just real weakIJ Both things are pretty common.

We have close to 4000 hrs on a 1440 and 1460. Only service has been new wheel cylinders cups and1 master cylinder kit.HAD trouble with bleeding air out.Other than that they've worked fine.

You mean they had brakesIJ I thought that those pedals on the right of the steering wheel were there to hold your feet up on long rows

I was wondering the same thing this fall! When I bought my 1480 back in 1998 the foot pedals were siezed up! I guess who ever had it before never used the brakes. I got everything moving and rebuilt the master and wheel clyinders. I have had to top it up since then. This fall I was taking it out of the shed and noticed no brakes. Master was empty and it took a while to get the air out. I would have designed those wheel cylinders better.
