Combines Broken cutter bar on 1020

How i do it... and this is witha 1010 head or equivelant of other brands. I dont know about flex fronts

Thanks Ham, but my problem is with the heavy flat bar that the guards bolt to. Can't figure out why it snapped.Machine is a 1996 that has cut about 8-9000 acres.

Usually in most cases the piece that the wobble box mounts to is broke and causes a vibration and breaks the main bar. Usually breaks where the supports underneath are welded.

Just buy the new cutterbar and save yourself a lot of headaches. I've tried welding them in the past and they just don't hold up very long. I've been told that the cutterbar is made of spring steel which gets brittle when welded which causes the bar to break right next to the weld.
