Combines broken straw walker on 9600

changed two on ours, first at 1400hrs sep, second just over 1500hrs. The 1st cracked up on the end where the pan bolts to it, the 2nd right in half...lucky though it could have been worse. At $1400 cdn a piece we don't want to replace too many at once. Incedently, they were changed shortly after the walker bearing update. Rod

Aftermarket one manufactured by loewen is a lot less money, and they have the wooden blocks also. They have a set of wood blocks that also replace those aluminum bearings, so you don't have to grease every day.

assuming you are asking of the bearingsIJ Deere updated the walher bearings from wood block to the aluminum_moly grease combo... not sure if all upgrades are worth the trouble.

No, I am asking about the walker itself. How has JD improved them to make them last longerIJ I can't see any difference.
