i had the same thing happen to me on a 2188 2 years ago. the outer tube breaks on the bottom side and puts it in a bind and breaks the connecting shaft. i replaced the unloading auger and the new one had an extra plate welded on the bottom of the outer tube. i checked with the dealer rep. and he covered the cost 100% and i did the labor
The same thing happened to our 1680 execpt we caught it before it broke all the way.My dad just noticed that the end of the auger was flexing. The outer tube needs more support.Basicly just the tin that the flange is on is it.
Our local dealer has had some success by replacing the top strut rod that runs out to support the unloader with about a 1_2" cable. The cable has a slight amount of give, rather than shocking the tube when going through the field.
