It really just depends on how much walker loss is considered acceptable. It helps to have the taller risers installed, but eventually I think the limiting factor will be how much grain a person can live with behind the machine. This assumes the threshing components are in perfect condition and the wheat is threshing easily.

Okay....always remember this number(43560). This is how many square feet in an acre, and is the magic number your acre counters use. So if your cutting at 4 miles_hour with a 30 ft header, you would use 4 X 5280 X 30 = 62400 sq.ft. Divide 62400 by 43560....and you get 14.54 acres _ hour. The 5280 is the feet in a mile. So lets say you do not cut full cut, and cut about 28.5 ft on average....and go about 3.8 miles_ hour. You would use 3.8 X 5280 X 28.5= 571824_43560= about 13 acres _ hour. if unloading on the go, and no empty turns.

make it easy. take the size of the header x m.p.h. and you will have your acres_hr.. with your 8820 you could probably avg. 3.5 mph x 30ft gives you 10.5 acres_hr.x 40 bu = 420 bu_hr

Yeah, i know all the formulas, i was just wonderin how fast the 88 would run in that kind of wheat. But thank yall anyway youve been helpful, thanks again.
