Did Agco cover the cost of the belt, they replaced mine last year no charge...I have a 98' C62 with 1400 sep hours....this season it worked well but last year I had a lot of problems. When it is working well I find it is hard to beat...what other problems are you having with it IJ

They covered the belt but not the labour. We had the shaft on header drive bend broke a straw walker $1600 replacement. We took out bearing in the grain elevator,a_c comp, idler pulley, and beater. Then we had to get hub machined that holds the header and sep. clutches because a bearing spun. Pretty sure we are going to get rid of machine for a rotor either the massey or a 2388 we run a 1688 also.

Never did sell any of the C62 conventionals but have heard of belt problems. Don't now what was causing problem but be sure dealer checks with company to see any or all the latest updates are on it. I believe there is a very recent update. I don't know of any header drive shafts bending other than if machine backed away with things still hooked up. Is there something you could add on preventing someone else from losing a walker or beater. We had a bearing wobble out large pulley on '98 machine also. I bet that pulley is the same on the rotors as conventionals and maybe some pulleys got out with bearing a little loose. Best to replace bearings before they get to noisy to prevent them from starting to work in there. Seems like something in the range of 750 hours or less is best. It's that noisy bearing sound that goes away with seperator engaging that you don't want to let get to bad. Good luck in whatever you do.
