In the (U.S.) ARMY we used red instrument lights to refresh our eyes while combat night driving. Pilots also use red lights to protect night vision. I've also used yellow fog lights to see better in dusty conditions. Has anyone tryed blue lightsIJ As I see it using white (full spectrum) light illuminates the dust like a wall, whereas colored light gets through to the object we need to see. When harvesting corn at night I only use 2 field lights, using all lights reflects too much light back on me. If red works for you, that's all I need to know.
