Combines C62 Feeder Problems

No C's around here but had to install rear feed stripper to prevent jumping chain on rotarys. Some have run chains in fast to prevent chain jumping without installing stripper. Don't know if stripper kit is available for C's but maybe something could be made up similiar to rotarys if speeding it up don't work. Worn bars can complicate feeding by not keeping material sucked away. I'm unsure if rock door can be set up like a sump on C's but if so the sump can be complicating the feed. In fact I'm not even sure if C's have a rock door. How's that for uncertainty. Sorry, hope I helped some.

Thanks for the response, my suspicions about worn cylinder bars being the problem seems to be correct. To get by until the end of the season I removed all of the filler bars from the cylinder to make it more aggessive and since then the feeder chains are working much better. Prior to this there was a lot of banging coming from the feeder house and I was having a lot of problems with the chain jumping a link and also a lot of broken bars in the rear conveyor. I have new cylinder bars on hand (going with chrome ones this time) and plan to change them on the off season. To answer your question, yes the C62 does have a rock trap. It's not a door, actually positioned more under the cylinder than the R series. Previously I had an R52, and still have 2 l2's.
