Check the Massey page for comments on the Massey version of this combine. Seems some folks are not happy with them, but the same could be said for most combines. Most common complaint I have heard about it the conveyor belt under the walkers failing.

Have a Massey 8680 and a C62. Big capacity, but have had lots of small breakdowns. Once you know what to look for and make proper adjustments you can prevent a lot of the problems with them. I think agco put these machines out without getting a lot of the bugs worked out of them, especially the conveyor belt. However, with proper updates you should get at least a couple of years out of the conveyor and agco is still replacing them on warrenty. I don't know why they don't put an endless belt in them as it would last significantly longer. Most parts are interchangeable with R62 so they are usually in stock. Our dealer desperately wants ours in on trade as he can't keep used ones on the lot. Not the case in a lot of areas I hear though. Have 1200 hrs on both and seem to be getting more reliable with age. Also look for one with sunnybrook staggered bar cylinder and concave. Increases capacity 25% or better in tough conditions.

I just sold my C62 privately and, for the most part, I was happy to see it go. It was a great small grains machine but was never all that great in corn or soybeans; - you had to accept a 10% to 15% loss and the sunnybrook mods helped a little, but not enough. The machine was "riddled" with minor glitches and problems, although these problems were seldom serious enough to stop the machine. My AGCO dealer stated he'd never sell another one and, having gone out of business, I'd guess that he'll live up to his word! ;-)

I'm on my 4th season with my C62.....over 1500 separator hours on it.I bought it used in 2001 with 600 hours on it...we use it for small grains, soybeans and corn. As far as capacity goes the machine is a beast..haven't experienced the kind of losses that others on this site have. The machine has had definite reliability issues way too many too list in this post..most of the breakdowns were in the first 2 years I owned it..as of late (knock on wood) it has become fairly reliable. I think it is probably a combination of getting some of the bugs out of it and also knowing what to look for to prevent some of the problems from happening in the first place. let me know if you have any additional questions about the machine. I am intimately familiar with the C62.

We just traded ours because of reliabity concerns and walker loss and resale going down. Had a 8460 massey before this 8680(C-62) it had way less breakdowns but not the capacity wish Agco still had the claas combine. I wouldnt buy one if you want a conventional go yellow.
