I have a 1460 with the filter above the door and I would gladly trade you for the filter on the right side. If you are not careful when you get out and slam the door you get a face full of soybean dust corn smut etc!!!!!!
I don't have an idea about the filter other than trade for a 2388 what has the ladder on. About the mice I can recommend a stuff called "Mouse Out". It comes in a spray can and is actually a lubricant. Besides this it has an odor what keeps mice out. It is used in the aircraft industrie against squeeks and mice.
Farmer Ed--The best thing I have found to keep mice out of tractor and combine cabs is "bounce" laundry dryer sheets.I have been useing them in "Green Machines" for years and they work well. They leave a fresh smell that is a whole lot better than those stinken moth balls.I see no reason why they won't work in your Red machine. Hope you enjoy the new smell. ---lucky luke
To Farmer Ed, where is mouse out available. Sounds very interesting. Cab filter was moved to prevent operator from getting a face full of dust. One possibility would be to install the step over the feeder as on the 2100-2300, would make it easier to get around. would have to fabricate brackets to hold hinges, just a thought.
