For patching up the cage, I would give loewen a try for parts, as they are an aftermarket manufacturer of Gleaner cages and may be able to help you out.
how many hours since cage has been replaced, is it chrome cage or black, accelerators bolt on, can replace laying on sieves, not fun but much easier, make sure you run machine and clean out good, hope your a small guy, not a lotta room, find some carpet to lay on sieves, scott
We've fixed plenty cages from rock or iron damage. If it is broke from being worn out if may be best to look at replacement. I have irons made up that I bolt to outside of cage and secure to inside with studs and washers. I then heat cage carefully to proper area that needs to give and such it down fairly close. This may take some moving and cool down periods to bring in nicely. I simply weld broken legs or segments after I get back into place. A little patch over excesively bad area won't change seperating area much and may just get you by until time to replace. Good luck
To avoid bending the louvers I removed the chaffer and seive. I suggest 2 layers of carpet. Remove the drive belt first so you can turn the rolls from inside.
