Alan, since it's an '88 model, probably has large numbers on side with IH engine. Not a problem, look at feeder bottom, feeder chain drive sprockets, augers under rotor, condition of sieves, elevator conveyor chains and sprockets, more or less normal maintainence stuff for machine with that number of hours. They were a good machine have some running around here. Doesn't have Cummins engine or larger hyd. capacity of later machines but are a good basic combine.

When I made the switch from Gleaners to CaseIH about 12 years ago I had a couple of 1990 1660s. Never had any trouble with them and the only complaint I had, it always seemed like I could put more material through the rotor than the shoe could handle, especially in wheat. K.A.
