boog, well here are the results. I only ran it on about 50 acres of corn, but you could see a difference in trash. Early in the morning there was really no differnce, but as the day went on you could see that it was letting the rollers more time to pull the stalk through. I would say about 80 percent of the time it pulled the whole stalk, and the only thing left was the ear. What I was really impressed by was how much less head shatter was going on in that row. Since the gathering chains were going slower it didn't bounce the ears around causing them to prematurely loose kernels. I would say that is the best benefit of them, but it does let less foriegn material in also. Which would increase your harvest speed and lessen your rotor losses due to MOG. Just to let you know, I run a 1660 with a 6 row John Deere head.
