Combines can t get sunflowers clean with 2388

I use wide wire concaves and use a cover plate on the first section. I then remove the first 2 cleaning grates (behind the concaves) and cover them with white poly puck board (skid plate material). I actually have a set from a 1482 that I exchange. That keeps a lot of the material off the sieves. Rotor running about 420 and fan 720. This is on a 2188. I am getting a very clean sample. Rod

With an AirJet chaffer, on a 2388, you set your lower sieve to 11_16 of an inch open and the fan at 1000 r.p.m. The result is a clean sample in the grain tank, increased capacity, and less loss out the back. If you would like to try one, give me a call at 1-800-745-1680.
