I put a 6 row wide N corn head on an R5. Had to change the upper bar and then cut a couple of hole in the bottom. Not much work.

There are two series of N heads and throats. The Early N head and throat take conversion to accept the R heads, the later throat, like on my 82 N6 will pickup and run a brand new head with minor changes. My 82 will not pick up an early N head because of enough differences in hooks and latches. The newer throat has a longer drive belt and is physically longer than the early throat. Hope this helps!

Post an email address or phone number and we can talk about a cornhead for an N6. Thanks Kelly

Yes you can change from R to N heads and N to R heads. I have done it more times than I care to remember. We would have 830's from older heads to newer, black frame heads to huggers for sale. Just let us know what you might want. Thanks, Dave Duffek

This head is set up for a N series combine and is a low height snout head. Earlier heads had a tall hood on the snouts which are not good at higher speed and terrible in down corn.
